Winner
$12,000
- To go entirely towards the making of the winning film. Cannot be transferred to other projects.
- Cannot be used for personal compensation for your work on the film or personal expenses. Funds are to go towards expenses related directly to the making of the Winning film (equipment, insurance, crew & cast labor [not including the grant winner], sets, etc.)
- To be used within 18 months of the announcement of winning the Pandora Short Film Grant
Panavision Grant
A Gold Package donation of Panavision equipment valued at $15,000. This award is provided by the Panavision New Filmmaker Program. Panavision’s own stipulations and terms apply.
Harbor Color & Finishing Services
- $10,000 worth of Color & Finishing services from Harbor.
- The credit is to be used within one year of award.
- The credit is exclusive to the Winning film and cannot be transferred to other projects.
- Harbor will fit the work around existing schedules and cannot guarantee delivery dates.
- Harbor will collaborate with the winner to optimize workflow and maximize the value of the award.
- Harbor’s own stipulations and terms apply.
Kodak Grant
A Kodak Grant of $2,000. The Kodak film grant can be used toward film stock and/or services at one of Kodak’s film labs (student discounts don’t apply toward services). Kodak’s own stipulations and terms apply.
Mentorship
Mentorship from a Mentor on our Mentor Roster for the given year. The Mentor will read the Mentees script and meet with the Mentee over a video call or in person at least once.
Mentors are paired with a Winner or Finalist based on creative or stylistic similarities and at the discretion of the Pandora Team and the Mentors themselves.
Fiscal sponsorship
We offer fiscal sponsorship to all Winner and Finalist films. It is not required for films to accept fiscal sponsorship, simply an offering. Fiscal sponsorship makes others who donate to the film able to count their donation as a tax write-off.
If donations are made by credit card, a credit card fee of 2.9% will be charged by our payment processor, Stripe, which will be deducted from the total donation. Checks or cash received on behalf of a project will not incur any processing fees
Finalists
Panavision’s New Filmmaker Program
Special consideration is given to enter Panavision’s New Filmmaker Program wherein you’d receive discounted or complimentary camera equipment. This is not a guarantee of membership into the program but Panavision will give “special consideration” to all Finalists. Panavision New Filmmaker Program’s own stipulations and terms apply.
Athos Insurance
$500 off production insurance through Athos. Must be for production insurance for the Finalist films. Cannot be transferred to other projects. The Finalist must purchase production insurance through Athos to receive the discount—you cannot apply the discount to insurance purchased from a different insurance company. The $500 is subtracted from the final amount owed to Athos.
Kodak Discount
20% off the retail price of film stock that will be used exclusively for the Finalist film. Kodak’s own stipulations and terms apply.
